A horse arena is only as reliable as the earthworks below it. We construct arenas across Christchurch and North Canterbury, including site clearing, excavation, grading, drainage, compacted base work and final riding-surface placement.
Every site is different. Ground conditions, access, arena size, water outlets and the selected surface all influence the build-up and final price.

Budget outdoor • 60m × 20m
$20,000–$30,000 + GST
A lower-cost arena for suitable ground, lighter-use requirements and straightforward site access.
All-weather outdoor • 60m × 20m
$50,000–$80,000++ GST
A higher-specification build for more regular use and improved performance through wet conditions.
Higher-end bases and specialist toppings can push the price above this range.
